One great thing about many Web 2.0 applications is that it empowers people to do creative things. Google map is the best example. I was playing the idea of mobile dating (Location Based Enabled) three years back and LBS was limited then. Keith and I was playing with the idea and I think there are still plenty of opportunities there, Imagine walking into a restaurant and be able to see these color dots showing up on your iPhone. Order a Martini and start checking these people profiles. I'd love the idea. That's kind of what. HookupMaps is doing, it is a service that shows you exactly where the people wanting to "hook up" in your city are whether you are in NY, San Francisco or Miami. For instance, in NYC, I can tell you that in my friendly hood of the Anthos (36W 52nd), there are currently 328 people seeking people. It will also tell you the age and gender of each poster. This is a very cool idea for those who are looking or just window shopping. I can e this application can evolve. No question this will prove to be popular. I think of a 10 ways to make money with this. Not sure they have a business model yet. I also like to see their current mood and how much time these people want to kill etc. There's just no shortage of fun ideas.
