When Facebook launched its Facebook Open Platform tools last month, hundreds of developers were allowed for the first time to create mini-apps that members of could install and use in their profiles. It is a killer strategy. Expect lots of innovation and that includes silly applicaitons like this one. With "Food Fight," you can select from a menu of cafeteria staples and proceed to hurl them at people on your Facebook friends list. Created by David Gentzel, this is as pointless as it gets, you can fling a slice of virtual pizza at your buddy. But don't get too crazy--you only get$2.50 of "lunch money" per day to spend on food to throw at your friends. Not sure if it is enough these days.
